Application for Substantive Change

Online and Distance Learning For Registered, Accredited and Recognised Institutions and Awarding Bodies

Registered and accredited institutions and awarding bodies seeking to offer Online and Distance Learning (ODL) courses and programmes that are not currently included within the institution’s registered, accredited or recognised status must obtain ACTT approval for substantive change.

ACTT has defined two substantive change categories for institutions offering ODL programmes at registered, accredited and recognised institutions and awarding bodies. These are noted in the general conditions for these services. They are:

1. The initiation of delivery of 60% or more of a programme’s contact hours through distance education or electronic media (online)
2. The introduction of new ODL courses or programmes.

Please complete only one form and include the course or programme(s) requiring substantive change to ODL
