Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT) Launches in Tobago!

The Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT) officially launched its services in Tobago on Monday 1st May, 2006, during a mid-morning ceremony held at the beautiful Hilton Tobago Golf and Spa Resort.

Held under the auspices of the Chairman of ACTT, Dr. Janet Stanley-Marcano, and members of the Board of Directors, the launch was attended by the Minister of Science, Technology and Tertiary Education, Senator the Honourable Mustapha Abdul-Hamid, who, in his capacity as line minister, also delivered the feature address.

Assemblyman Claudia Groome-Duke, Assistant Secretary in the Division of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports, with responsibility for Education, welcomed ACTT to Tobago on behalf of the Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA), the Honourable Orville London.

The distinguished audience at the Scarborough Ballroom, included the Honourable Eudine Job-Davis, MP for Tobago East, Senator the Honourable Rawle Titus, VP of the Senate, and other representatives of the Central Administrative Services, Assemblymen and Councilors of the THA, Principals of Secondary Schools and Tertiary Institutions, and representatives of the Tobago Department of Education.

Entertainment was provided by the Youthquake Dance Ensemble and the New Dimension Chorale.
